How to Blog & Comments Rubric

The class consensus for grading blog comments is as follows:

  1. Start an argument or discussion (respectfully)
  2. Write at least three sentences. More than three is fine. (3+ sentences required)
  3. No rambling. Be clear, direct, to the point and logical. Write in a straightforward and clear manner.
  4. Be sure your comments are well thought out.
  5. Give details why you agree or disagree. Just saying, “I agree/I disagree” is not enough. Tell us why.
  6. For each argument or thought, illustrate with a link to another article, blog post, white paper, interview, podcast, video, slide show, etc. (1 link minimum per post). The process of adding a link to each blog comment will have you contribute to the overall resource pool of the class, building upon the foundation of the blog and becoming increasingly more effective as a writer and contributor.
